ART AS A SOCIAL AMBITION MEDIUM

 

Any collected items regardless of their kinds have always possessed one feature in common which makes them be the object of desire. They have always been unique. Then it turned out that the range of rivalry which made their owners feel above others ( distinguishing them from others ) is collecting pieces of art. The consciousness of being the only owner of the acknowledged creator’s original work whether it is a big painting or a drawing on a piece of paper, is a great feeling which determinates our value. This way art, which pragmatists defined as “ being useless “, has become a social ambition medium.
